New Router
19.03.2006
So, I changed my router hardware from an old pentium 66 with fli4l to an Allnet 1297 which I bought on ebay for 7.99 EUR. Actually I bought two, the second is for backup purposes. The reason: aquiring an IP address via dhcp took ages with the old one. And it saves 83% energy.
The change is complete after I finished setting up an own dns server, as the Allnet doesn’t provide one.
Finally I just had to change some hardcoded IPs in /etc as I have reorganized my IP layout.
find /etc/ -type f | grep -v config-archive | grep -v example | grep -v gconf | xargs grep -nHi –color 192.168.0
does the trick.
